when did I lose my ability to believe six impossible things before breakfast :PI spent what was destined to be a very long boring evening with some old friends in a very new way and must say to quote one of said friends "curiouser and curioser".
I've been putting off watching the new Alice in wonderland for a number of reasons, one of which was wanting to watch it with someone in particular and another the fear of being disappointed as I have been recently by a number of movies made of books I've read.
Tonight I gave in simply because I was missing said particular someone and as I said had what was destined to be a long boring evening ahead of me, which in it self is sad really but just how I felt.
I was not disapointed though, yes it's not a perfect depiction of one of my favourite books but Tim Burton definetly found the darkness I've always suspected was there from the begining and Disney hid behind a sugar coated cartoon. I've even been inspired to put down Eclipse and go back to reading Alice, very grown up thing to do I know:P
Oh and yes to quote Absalom, the blue caterpillar
"I can't help you if you don't even know who you are, stupid girl"
Amazing the wisdom you find in the smallest things :)
